Since launching in 2014, Hotelier Maldives has established itself as the leading publication for hospitality executives in the Maldives. As the only circulation-audited media in the country, the magazine reaches a comprehensive and loyal audience on a bi-monthly basis. Readership of Hotelier Maldives consists of key decision makers including senior and middle management hospitality executives, developers and investors, travel industry professionals, hotel suppliers and logistical service providers.

Complementing its presence in print, Hotelier Maldives is represented digitally on hoteliermaldives.com – with daily updates with industry news. The online content also reaches a database comprising of hospitality executives, owners, etc., through weekly newsletters.

Print edition to be a monthly magazine

Hotelier Maldives print edition is currently published bi-monthly, and will be relaunched as a monthly magazine later this year

Due to growing interest and demand from customers, the Hotelier Maldives print edition is to be relaunched as a monthly magazine. This will help to increase frequency and variety for advertisers and allow it to feature more up-to-date articles, stories and relevant content regarding the hospitality industry in the Maldives and beyond.

Since 2016, Hotelier Maldives also connects with its readers at the now well-established GM Forum where General Managers, corporate hoteliers, developers and relevant government representatives debate key issues facing hotel operations in the country. Furthering the relevancy of the publication and to address key challenges facing the sector, Hotelier Maldives also partnered with Singapore-based IDeaS to initiate a series of workshops on revenue management for hotels. To be hosted on a regular basis, the second workshop is scheduled for November 2017.

Revenue Management Concept Workshop was held February 15-16 at Champa Central Hotel, Malé

The newest addition to the Hotelier Maldives event calendar is the Hotelier Maldives Wellness Summit; which aims to look at the changing perception of Maldives as a tourism destination, changing traveller behaviour, the growth of wellness tourism, and the many ways the destination can tap into this fast-evolving segment of the market.

World renowned Wellness Consultant Anni Hood will be a keynote speaker with case studies from Soneva group amongst other notable speakers featuring in the Summit.

For its readers, Hotelier Maldives has become a trusted source of knowledge and industry information. The title aims to keep them informed on the topics, trends and news to help them do their job more effectively and advance their career. For commercial partners, Hotelier Maldives provides multiple vehicles for brands to position themselves as industry leaders by reaching decision makers and purchasing influencers via print, online and in person.

Hotelier Maldives Awards

Over four decades old, the Maldives tourism industry is one of the most robust and remains one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world. Pioneered by a group of enterprising Maldivians, and later consolidated by the entry of leading international hotel chains, an authentic and distinct touch of Maldivian hospitality combined with the pristine surroundings of the resorts are the hallmarks of the destination. While increasingly luxurious resorts with state-of-the-art technology deployed in their top-most efficiency are being developed, the backbone of the industry remains the hard-working employees who are challenged to their limits to maintain the now reputed levels of service quality expected from the Maldives’ resorts.

The architecture and design, as well as the overall performance of the resorts and hotels in the Maldives, are well recognised in industry forums through awards both locally and internationally. However, as of present, an award that specifically recognises the employees working behind the scenes to deliver a memorable guest experience is lacking. And Hotelier Maldives Awards seek to address this lack through hosting an annual function where outstanding employees for a number of categories will be acknowledged.

The categories for the inaugural Hotelier Maldives awards will be announced in December 2017. Among others, the categories will include General Manager of the Year, Sales Person of the Year, Marketing and PR Person of the year, F&B Manager of the Year, Executive Chef of the Year, Fitness/Spa Person of the Year, Procurement Person of the Year, Finance Person of the Year, Housekeeper of the Year, Concierge/Guest Services Person of the Year, Safety and Security Person of the Year, Young Hotelier of the Year, Hotel Team of the Year, etc. Nominations for the awards can be made through a dedicated page on hoteliermaldives.com  and winners will be decided by an independent panel of expert judges, ensuring the integrity of the awards, acknowledging only those who are truly deserving of the accolade.

The Hotelier Maldives Awards will be a celebration of excellence in the Maldivian hospitality industry, the winners being those who truly make a difference in the industry.

Sponsoring the Awards

The Hotelier Maldives Awards, which will take place at a special gala dinner hosted for the occasion, will provide its commercial partners with a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities, all of which will be designed to help them boost their profile within the industry, meet both decision makers and purchasing influencers, and associate their organisation with an awards programme created to celebrate success. In addition to Platinum, Gold, Silver and Category Sponsorships, bespoke sponsorship packages will include Table Sponsors, Water Sponsor, Coffee Sponsor, Glassware Sponsor, Social Media Sponsor, etc. among others.

If you have a query or would like to express interest in the awards you may contact the publisher of Hotelier Maldives and organisers of the Hotelier Maldives Awards by writing to publisher@hoteliermaldives.com or info@perspective.mv.
