Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort announces four days of special Easter activities

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Surrounded by pristine natural beauty and unmatched luxury, Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort is an unspoiled paradise. Under the slogan, “your own private world,” the resort offers a sense of complete privacy and remote luxury, and is surrounded by natural beauty. And for this Easter, The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort has planned four days of wonderful activities for families seeking a break in the sun.

According to the resort, their chefs and activities hosts have created ‘eggstra’ special activities for tropical beach-loving guests of all ages, making the most of the pristine ‘Robinson Crusoe meets Castaway’ island setting. On the Easter weekend, from March 30 to April 2, kids can enjoy Easter egg hunts, making rabbit masks, face painting, egg and spoon races, and many other ‘eggshellent’ themed activities. Outdoor evening movies on the beach include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bugs Bunny’s Easter Funnies, and the First Easter Rabbit.

The resort has planned a special programme of outdoor activities to show the pristine nature of Konotta Island at its best, with turtle quest snorkelling, a castaway experience on a desert island, snorkelling with a marine biologist, a dolphin quest trip, serene yoga sessions, and sunrise and sunset fishing.

In addition, executive chef Christopher Long and his creative kitchen staff plan to host mouth-watering events such as an Asian food festival on the beach, chef’s Easter Sunday Specials, sushi making, chef Endar’s Japanese food tour, and more.

The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort’s general manager John Allanson says the staff have also arranged activities such as the renewal of vows, an Equator cruise, local island excursions, sunken beach table dining, and cooking classes in almost any cuisine of the guest’s choice.

“The Maldives at Easter is the perfect time to put the cold northern winter and work pressures behind you and give your family a much needed break in the sun,” says Allanson. “Guests can be as active or lazy as they like this Easter. Either way, it’s good for the body and soul.”

The award winning Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort offers guests the largest average villa sizes in the Maldives. Comprising of 29 Beach Pool Villas, 21 Ocean Pool Villas, two Lagoon Pool Villas and the three-bedroom Grand Konotta Villa, the resort offers a complete sense of privacy and intimate luxury. In-between diving lessons and massages, guests are encouraged to indulge in sumptuous Maldivian cuisine or a glass of white Burgundy in one of the island’s restaurants or in the comfort of their villa.

The private island of Konotta is located 211 miles (340 kilometres) to the south of Malé and is conveniently accessible via a 55-minute flight from Malé to Kaadedhdhoo Airport followed by a scenic 30-minute journey on a luxurious private yacht. Set on a private island in the azure Indian Ocean, Konotta offers guests a wide range of activities including, unique dining experiences, rejuvenating spa treatments, and world-class water sports and scuba diving at their Reef Centre.
