Maldives wins big at the 25th World Travel Awards

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The 25th World Travel Awards held in Lisbon, Portugal in December saw Maldives triumph in a span of categories ranging from World Winners to Indian Ocean Winners categories. Some of the most prestigious awards on the world scale were taken home by the country and its stunning resorts.

These awards include the World’s Leading Dive Destination Award won by Maldives as well as the World’s Most Romantic Resort Award for 2018 won by Baros Maldives. Hulhule Island Hotel also won the World’s Leading Airport Resort while Jumeirah Vittaveli won the award for World’s Leading Honeymoon Resort. World’s Leading Luxury Private Island Resort award was won by Cheval Blanc Randheli. The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort also won the award for World’s Leading Luxury Island Resort

At the epitome of luxury tourism in the Indian Ocean, Maldives saw its place at the top of the industry in the Indian Ocean cemented even further with the impressive collection of awards it won in the Indian Ocean Winners category at the gala ceremony. Maldives as a destination took home the awards for Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination and Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination
