French hotel giant Accor set to manage resorts in Maldives

ACCORKeong Hong Holdings has appointed one of the largest and top hotelier brands in Europe, Accor, to manage its first two hotels in Maldives.

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort with an approximate 120 villas and Mercure Maldives Kooddo Resort with 68 villas, is set to be open in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

Accor will also be in charge of providing consultancy on management services, construction, design and layout of the two resorts.

The two properties will be developed by Pristine Islands Investments, a joint venture by Keong Hong Holdings and its partners. Recently set up to own, develop and manage the two resorts, Pristine Islands Investments will also lead the way in constructing and building the domestic airport at Gaafu Alifu atoll Kooddoo, with estimated development cost of USD 120 million.

Keong Hong Holidays is also hoping to expand the hotel business in countries like Japan and Australia in the future.
