The winners of DIVE Magazine’s 2017 Travel Awards have been announced with OBLU by Atmosphere at Helengeli receiving the 2nd place in the Best Dive Centre or Resort category. Maldives received a string of accolades by being placed in the lists of both Top Ten Best Dive Destinations and Top Ten Best Liveaboards, where three individual local diving vessels were mentioned.

The local liveaboards placed in the list of Top Ten Best Liveaboards were Carpe Vita, a luxury 38-meter long motor safari yacht comprised of 10 cabins, capable of catering to 20 divers and owned and operated by Carpe Diem Maldives, MV Sea Spirit owned and operated by Maldives Scuba Tours Ltd, with a capacity of accommodating 12 guests in 6 spacious cabins and MV Ocean Sapphire, with its 10 rooms, capable of lodging 22 guests.

The Winners of DIVE Magazine’s 2017 Travel Awards were Indonesia and Costa Rica. Indonesia won in the categories of both Best Dive Destination and Best Dive Centre or Resort with Siladen Resort and Spa in Bunaken while the Cocos Sea Hunter from Costa Rica took home the trophy of the Best Liveaboard.
