Maldives Travel Fair underway in KLIA, targets Malaysian travellers

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Budget carrier AirAsia has partnered with All H Maldives and Maldives Getaways and launched a travel fair in Malaysia. The Maldives Travel Fair is held September 12 and 13 at gateway@KLIA 2, part of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

According to the organisers, the purpose of the fair is to abolish the thought that Maldives is just a luxury destination for the upper-class market and that it can be enjoyed by anyone at a given budget. AirAsia and AirAsia Thai flies into the Maldives offering guests affordable flight tickets. By partnering with local hoteliers, AirAsia is able to offer affordable travel packages to the Maldives.

Participants at the fair include Adaaran Resorts, Villa Hotels & Resorts, Plumeria Maldives, Serene Sky Thoddoo, Jupiter Sunrise Lodge, Shallow Lagoon Rasdhoo, UI Hotels, Crystal Sands Maafushi and Local Island Inn Hangnaameedhoo.

According to the organisers, some of the offers on the table include two-night stays for two people including airport transfer as low as US$225 and three-night packages including airport transfer starting from as low as US$285. Although, bookings should be made by September 13, 2017, while guests can use these packages starting from March 1, 2018, through to November 21, 2018.

The fair also sees a special social media promotion, where visitors are offered the chance to win a two-night stay in the Maldives, says the organisers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
